Gypsum w/Alabaster # TUC0812

Very aesthetic large miniature specimen of pristine, crystal clear Gypsum crystals, on a matrix of Alabaster. Razor sharp terminations, with incredible transparency...just stunning!

During the photo shoot, there was a lot of light bouncing off due to the reflective bright white color of the alabaster. There is a lot of detail going on at the base of the large crystals, along with some perfectly small Gypsum crystals on top of the matrix.

Dazzling miniature combo, from a famous locale in Spain. Beautiful cluster of purple Fluorite, white blades of Barite, and sprinkles of clear Calcite crystals. The Fluorites display some very beautiful purple coloring, and are very lustrous. It's my understanding that specimens like this are harder to come by these days. Superb quality throughout!

Coming from perhaps the most widely recognized pyrite locality in the world, to me they exemplify one of the very fundamental reasons which I believe attracts us to collecting minerals and gems in the first place. They are a true miracle of nature (and molecular arrangement that comes with it), that in this case, form into these perfectly cubed crystals!!!

A natural "sculpture" indeed! I personally hand pick out those which are very striking..."cubism" at its finest! This particular specimen features one large, perfect, Pyrite crystal on matrix.

Note the reflections, as you can see that the pyrite surfaces are literary like mirrors! Please note that in the last photo bottom right you can see reflections of my fingers and camera! The edges of this dazzling cube are razor sharp! This wonderful piece will make a striking presence in your mineral collection!

PLEASE NOTE: All of the photographs are not to scale. Some are enlarged to give you an accurate and an in depth view of all the details for you to see. Please always refer to specimen size in all my listings for the actual size, as this is what the final price is based on. Although picture colors can vary slightly from browsers to computers, I go to great lengths in photographing all mineral specimens with complete color accuracy, without any retouching whatsoever! My photo studio lighting consists of 4800K fluorescent lighting, which simulates the wavelengths of daylight. In some cases for a different effect I have utilized regular incandescent lighting to provide a different effect. If a specimen has knowingly been repaired, I will always disclose this information to you.
