Fluorapophyllite & Stilbite

Spectacular grouping of pristine, light emerald green, Fluorapophyllite crystals jutting off the top of a beautiful Stilbite matrix, makes this one top shelf cabinet specimen! While quantities of zeolites seem to be in abundance for the moment, this configuration and quality specimen is not as common.

Great color is exhibited in both the Fluorapophyllite and Stilbite. The flower cluster created by the Fluorapophyllite crystals is comprised of four larger crystals, and three smaller ones. Additionally there are several other perfect Fluorapophyllite crystals scattered throughout the Stilbite matrix.

All of the terminations on this well trimmed beauty are razor sharp and flawless! Crystal quality is from translucent to transparent with a a very gemmy grade. I am certain that you will agree that this wonderful specimen is comprised of superb aesthetics, and will enhance any mineral collection!

I have included several photographs below, so that you can enjoy viewing this marvel from different angles.

Calcite Crystal on Chalcedony Matrix #TUC0819

This striking cabinet specimen is from a relatively new find (2007), and I have never seen anything quite like it before! At the Denver Show 2007, I was fortunate to come across one in the last minutes of the show. It caught my eye immediately, and I really love the very "pure look" given by the large, translucent, white calcite crystal laying on snow white Chalcedony matrix.

Needless to say that sold soon after listing it here on my site. I made it a point to go back to that India dealer to purchase more at the Tucson 2008 Show. I was really let down when he said he had not come across any since! It only goes to show you how quickly some of these beauties are gone soon after their discovery.

I did not give up my search, and finally towards the end of the Tucson Show 2008, I was so ecstatic about finding just this one beauty offered for sale here. This striking cabinet piece as you can see displays beautifully, and is a very fine specimen!

Apophyllite, Stilbite, Calcite on matrix # TUC090

I'm a big fan of Zeolites from India, and although for the moment there seems to be plenty of them out there, I am extra picky about selecting the best quality specimens such as the one pictured above. This is a very beautiful cabinet display from India. The combination of green Apophyllite, pink Stilbite, and milky white Calcite on matrix creates a very colorful array of minerals on a matrix. Quite an interesting piece chock full with a variety crystals.

Although it is quite common to see Apophyllite and Stilbite together, what sets this piece off from most others is that there are two square Calcite crystals (as you can note in the photographs above), nestled within the other crystals.

The crystal quality and terminations are perfect throughout the specimen, and it has been trimmed very nicely. Very vibrant, sparkling, and aesthetic piece that displays beautifully.
